I had never heard of a “baby moon” until it was my time to shine. No mother in my family had ever mentioned anything about it. I learned about them from being an avid reader of Babylist and What To Expect. S/O to those two apps for holding me down during every stage of my pregnancy.

I actually had two baby moons, lol. Look at me. I discover it and then go overboard with it. This post will be about my first baby moon. My first baby moon was technically a birthday getaway in the Poconos. It was nice but cold as hell! I’m not a huge gambler so I enjoyed watching my sister’s play the slot machine - well the machine was really playing them. I swear they are rigged.

I did a lot of relaxing by the pool and shopping in the outlets for my little bean. The shopping was actually the best part. I absolutely love baby clothes. I may be a bit obsessed, to be honest.

We took a drive to a nice Italian restaurant, but it was the most nerve-wracking drive ever. It was up a steep, snowy hill and located in a corner of darkness. For sure looked like a kidnappers retreat. The food was delicious though! Lol.

We spent the weekend here and it was wonderful. Once we arrived back at home, they surprised me with a cake and more gifts. Yes, I cried. They spoil ya girl and rightfully so. I’m the oldest sister - I deserve it. Lol.

For my going home look, I wore this jumpsuit layered over a button up. I broke up the colors and added some texture by accessorizing with my favorite hat. You know your girl has to be cozy wozy!

Did ya’ll know about this baby moon business?! If so, how did you celebrate your baby moon? If not, what would you do and/or where would you go for yours?
