museums and me
At the Daniel Arshem exhibit
Museums and art exhibits provide so much inspiration. I miss the feeling of seeing something so creative and immediately being inspired to work on my own shit. I loved visiting the Daniel Arshem exhibit; it was such a simple concept, but I was able to see the beauty in the destruction. Isn’t that how life feels sometimes? No? Too dark? Lol. Anyway, I aspire to have my work featured in a museum one day - having people view my work and give their perspectives on what they see. Although I want them to see the story the way I’m telling it, I also want them to be able to draw their own views on it, too.
Museums also remind me that everything is art and art is subjective. I love taking photos, but I also feel a bit intimidated by real photographers lol. I feel like I have a “good eye” for things, but self-doubt is a bitch.
I also wish that I could perfect a go-to pose for my fashion/street style photos too. That’s the hardest for me because I used to love being photographed, but then I became so self-conscious out of nowhere. Well, I’d probably say it was the introduction of Instagram because I felt cool on Tumblr. Lol. Now I feel extremely awkward when I’m behind the camera, or I feel like I’m being rushed when taking a photo, so I get flustered and quickly try to get it over with. I do really enjoy capturing a good photo, though. I just really enjoy the stories you can create from seeing a still moment in time.

Anyway, I wanted to share some photos that I took & edited that I find to be cool as f*ck.
