Being pregnant during the cooler months was nice. I was already sweating bullets due to pregnancy heat so I was loving the cooler temps. My body didn't change in the first few months and I have always had a wardrobe fit for the fall/winter, so I didn't need to rush and buy new clothes thankfully. However, if you know me, you know I still bought winter clothes. Lol.
I fell in love with this cozy faux shearling bucket hat from Target. This is the hat I mentioned from the previous post! It was $5 y'all. I wore it with everything. Lol. It fit nicely over my fro and all my wigs so definitely a win right there.
I paired it with this beautiful chunky knit cardigan from Zara that I purchased at like 2am when I couldn't sleep. I think it was $40? Pregnancy insomnia made my already undiagnosed insomnia worse! The cinched waist and the large buttons really made this cardigan stand out from the old fashion, granny looks that cardigans have a rep for. The elongated, ribbed hem and balloon sleeve was a great touch as well. The overall fit was so perfect - I love how it was snug over my little bump. It was like a little hug. My only callout: it was itchy, as expected. I know there’s a tip on how to make it less itchy, but who has time for experiments?!
To complement the brown, earthy tones, I wore my thrifted camo cargos while I could still fit them. I love the relaxed fit and the stretch in the waist helped me to adjust it around my bump. You really can't go wrong with a great pair of camo bottoms - whether they're cargos, jeans, midi skirt, whatever. Camo pairs well with other prints & patterns and a range of colors! I think I also briefly mentioned that I thrifted these camo cargos from Unique in the men’s department.

I completed the look with my MM6 Maison Margiela boots that I found on sale on Ssense. I need to stay off that site! Again, browsing at 2am when I should be sleep. They're an inside out boot and they are so f*ckin’ cool. I was going to also purchase them in grey, but the off-white just looks a bit more special. They were about $243, if I recall correctly.
The faux shearling I am wearing was also thrifted. It’s reversible! I love this Teddy coat soooo much. I usually wear it with the other side showing but I figured I'd give it a break. Lol. I think I bought this coat for $24? I'm not really sure but it wasn't a lot. I love getting a steal on items like shoes and coats; those are major pieces for your closet and usually the most expensive. I look for a good bargain on them whenever I can. It’s best to also buy coats during the off-season because they’ll most likely be on sale. You'll just have to wait to wear it. Lol.
Do you guys find yourselves up at the ass crack of dawn buying things when you should be sleep?! If so, what’s something you snagged during your midnight peruse?
